about

This song is about a few women I know who shall remain nameless. Some women have poor taste in men, and after they're done with one loser, they move on to the next loser. No doubt a psychiatrist could explain this to me if I knew any psychiatrists.

The line about being "beaten down" is referring to verbal beatings, which are much more common than physical beatings, but are harmful nonetheless.

lyrics

Remember the last one

He had a bad rep

Hung out in all the wrong parts of town

What did you see there?

What made you love him?

Maybe you like it when you're beaten down

Every single day

You take it upon yourself to pick up all the pieces

Every single day

You take it upon yourself to love him even more

I just wanna say

That you should be packing up and leaving in the morning

Cause every single day

You're making the same mistake and you won't hear my warning

Every single day

So finally you left and

you started over

Finally you'd had enough abuse

Dealing with the wide range

Wide range of emotions

And dealing with his short fuse

Every single day

You take it upon yourself to pick up all the pieces

Every single day

You take it upon yourself to love him even more

I just wanna say

That you should be packing up and leaving in the morning

Cause every single day

You're making the same mistake and you won't hear my warning

Every single day

You said you'd never walk that path again

You said you had a lot to think about

You found somebody new and you're excited

The problem is that things aren't working out
